Hello Everyone!

I am FINALLY updating my blog once more.  Honestly, I got caught up in vacation madness in San Francisco, and afterwards, I began my last few weeks enjoying the company of my family and old high school friends before I moved back to LA.  Oh, and I needed to pack all my things up.  So, I've been definitely busy and pretty forgetful of taking pictures and giving updates.  But at least I am here to give one last hurrah before the next few weeks start, and it is just completely hectic.

On another note, I wore this outfit when I went to the LA County Fair with my whole family on Sunday.  Yes, my whole family, which made me really happy that all my sisters, my niece, and my mom and dad (he pretty much goes nowhere) all made a trip!  It was so hot in Corona, that I was really hesitant to go to the fair, since to me it was more inland and therefore more hot, but it turned out fine!  There was actually a good breeze going, and there were delicious smells of barbecue and deep fried everything out there.  I even smelled like barbecue at the end of the day.

The reason that we went to the fair was really to take my niece around so that she could have fun.  We visited the animals, which she loved, but once my dad had taken her into the petting zoo, she freaked out and wanted to be carried the entire time they were in there.  The only problem with the animals is that they smell like poop, and I honestly do feel bad for them because they just lie there in a cramped enclosure while people ogle at them and make remarks telling them to move.  However, the best part of fairs are the food.  Lemonade stands everywhere, turkey legs, hunks of meat in general, corn on the cob (which was so yummy but the spices were burning my lips), and of course, deep fried snacks.  My sister bought some deep fried oreos, and they were so sweet.  I couldn't eat more than one, and I find it crazy that they deep fry things like butter.

All in all, it was a good day, and a great way to end my summer before moving back to LA.  I actually moved in yesterday night to my residence hall for training (I'm going to be a Resident's Assistant or RA), so I must officially say goodbye to my Netflix marathons and afternoon naps.  My schedule pretty much starts at 9 AM everyday and ends at 8 or 9 at night, so I'll be pretty busy to say the least.  I'll probably be MIA for a good two or three weeks depending on how fast I can get done with everything.  But to all those who are reading this or those who have visited my page, thank you so much!  And just as a reassurance, I'll be back (mandatory use of Arnold Schwarzenegger voice).

What I'm Wearing: Forever 21 Dress, Urban Outfitters Flatforms, DIY Flower Crown

Last night, my family and I held this big party at this restaurant called Coco Palms for my mom's 60th Birthday bash.  The whole thing was pretty fancy, and my mom loved it.  My sister even made these props to use for pictures, like mustaches and different masks like Batman and so on.  It was really cute. During the event, I was the photographer, so I didn't have much time to take any pictures of myself, but my sister did manage to get these photos of my outfit before the party got going (my family is Filipino, we are always late to parties lol).

My favorite part of the outfit I wore was the flower crown.  One of my hobbies that I've started this summer is making flower crowns and hair bows.  I have had so much time on my hands, and this is one of the ways that I have been able to feel really productive over my vacation.  My sisters and I have also taken up the summer project of trying to start an Etsy shop, and I am excited to say that we are almost there!  We just need to do a few more things to get it going, but anyways, I will bring more details to light later when we have everything finalized :)

Anyways, I hope you all like my outfit!

Forever 21 Shirt, Forever 21 Shorts, Converse Shoes, UO Socks, Handmade Hairbow
I went to the beach today for the first time this summer.  The weather has been much cooler than usual, although August is just getting started, so we'll just have to wait and see.  Honestly, I felt a little bit chilly from the ocean breeze, even though I was sitting in the sun.  I think I might be cold blooded!  But apart from that, I had a lovely day at the beach with some shopping afterwards at the Irvine Spectrum.

The shirt that I wore today was actually much longer and flared out a bit like a peplum, only it was much looser.  The fit was honestly awkward, and I don't know how I wore that shirt when I first bought it a few years ago while I was still in high school.  I ended up cutting that part off and voila! I made myself a cropped shirt with a pretty sweet geometric print to add onto it.  I love when I am able to alter old clothes into new styles!  It saves me a few dollars, and I like the satisfaction of feeling quite crafty for the day :)

Well anyways, I hope you all have a great night!

What I'm Wearing: Vintage Shirt from my Mom, Forever 21 Skirt, Urban Outfitters Boots

It was my first time at the LA Flower Market yesterday with my sisters to pick up orchids for my mom's birthday party next Saturday.  We bought several potted plants as centerpieces, but I wish that we could have picked up fresh bouquets of flowers!  I saw so many people walking around with all these flowers wrapped in newspaper, which was so cute.  I ended up picking up a small succulent as well.  All in all, it was an early start to the day, but I am definitely going back in the future.

H&M Cardigan, Macy's Jumper, Need & Supply Co D'orsay Flats,
Dooney & Bourke Purse, Cotton On Shirt

Well, what a completely cliché title to this post, but let's just say I'm not really much of a writer.  Thats why I'm studying economics!  Definitely more of a math person.  Anyways, last night I went to this restaurant called Shino's, and they had the cutest skewers, where most of the items on the list were wrapped in bacon.  So bad for the arteries, but so yummy.

For my outfit, the sun was setting really fast, so I had to take some quick pictures, none of which I was ready for.  It also doesn't help that I feel more comfortable being behind the camera taking pictures instead of having pictures taken of me.  I took a better picture of my purse, since there isn't a good view of it.  It's an old Dooney & Bourke that I got a few years back.  It's not in as good condition as the one I inherited from my mom, but I love that it is a dark green color.

Anyways, I hope you all have a fabulous Friday!

Wow!  This is my first official blog post!  Well, I hope that everyone enjoys it, and also, please bear with me as I try to spruce up the image of this blog (I'm new to this, figuring things out as I go).

Well, over the weekend, I went to Disneyland with my sisters, and from the good graces of my cousin, we were able to get in for free!  That saved us $137 each (the current price of a park hopper ticket).  The weather was quite nice too.  It was a little warm, but not blistering hot too.  Since we got in for free, we were able to shamelessly spend a little money on souvenirs, which is why I am using the Minnie Mouse hat.  Of course, it was packed as hell, and my feet hurt from standing in hour long lines, but as always, it was completely worth my Saturday!
